A flat band has a square or rectangular cross-section — the top surface is level, the sides are straight, and the edges are defined. It gives the ring a clean, structured look that reads as modern and minimal. Hammered isn’t a profile in the same sense — it’s a surface texture applied to either a flat or round band. Using a ball-peen hammer, the surface of the silver is struck repeatedly to create small, overlapping dents that catch light differently from every angle.
